ARIZONA WITH DAD

It is not often that my father travels very far from his home, a small farming community in central Pennsylvania.  He’s in his seventies and feels comfortable staying in familiar surroundings.  So I was shocked when I heard he and my mother where driving to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon, never seeing it myself, I had to meet them.  Dad had been talking about the Grand Canyon for decades.

The truly interesting thing about traveling with Dad is the food.  Growing up he told me “all food is good or it would not be food”.  And I must admit, he will eat most anything whether he likes it or not; still it’s fun watching him try something new for the first time.
